Five Minute Friday...and a GIVEAWAY!!

Hello friendly faces! Today I am conquering new territory with something I've never done before...

What the whaaaattt??

But before I launch into all the jazz, today is Five Minute Friday!

Today's prompt is:

FMF - Prepare - 12.12.2014

Prepare the way.
Prepare the way.
Prepare the way of the Lord.

How am I "preparing the way" right now? I could name the ways, because there are some, but really I'm more convicted about the ways I'm not. I find myself most days drowning in laundry and dishes and grocery lists and homeschool, and five kids, and phone calls and emails, and... And. AND.

You are the light of the world.
You are the light of the world.
You are the light of the world

God I want my heart to be preparing the way for you. I want my posture to prepare the way for you. I want my time to prepare the way for You. God as I prepare for my day, as I prepare meals, as I prepare emails, and grocery lists, and bath water...God that it would be for You. God help me slow down.

I want to be found ready with oil in my lamp when You come back (Matthew 25).

Prepare me.

Wow, I'm grateful for the unexpected ways these prompts move me. What do you think of when you think of "prepare"?

Now about that giveaway.

So I made this little do-dad wreath that a few people actually really liked. I have no idea why because I don't think it's AWESOME or anything...

Gah, isn't she lovely?

She is approximately 34" in diameter. I don't know why I've given her a feminine pronoun, but it just seems more fitting.

I am certainly no professional artist, and this little beauty was about as easy to make as pie, but sometimes it's just nice for someone to make something for you, no? And it's CHRISTMAS, so in the spirit of love and my heart for crafting and all things giving, this beauty can be YOURS. Or a gift to someone you love if you can bear to part with it.

Do you want to play? Yay!!

Here's what I want you to do (aka, "the Rules"):

1) Like my Facebook page (if you haven't already).
2) Share this post on your Facebook page.
3) Comment HERE no later than 8pm (Central time) Sunday, December 14 telling me that you did all these things. My villagers will randomly select a number from all those who enter to be the WINNER of the "Book Page Wreath." We might even practice some math or something since we are homeschoolers after all. *grins*

Monday, December 15 I will announce the winner and we will collaborate on the best way to deliver said wreath to WINNING individual!

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Thanks for playing! I can't wait to share this awesome beauty with one of you!

Oh, I almost forgot! I've done some tweaking of my blog this week. Look around and tell me if you notice the changes and what you think!

And don't forget, let Him "prepare the way" this week for whatever He has in store for you. CHRISTmas is coming!
